Handbuilding Intensive: Form + Function
8 Mondays 6:00–8:30PM Ages 18+ (or accompanied by an adult)
This 8-week course is designed to take your handbuilding skills to the next level. While some experience is helpful, it's not required—just come ready to learn and get creative with clay.
We’ll explore a range of functional projects, focusing on both form and surface design:
Projects include:
Pendant Light (hardware included)
Slab-Built Vase
Pour Over Set
Colander
You’ll also dive into surface design techniques that will elevate your work and give your pieces a personal touch.
This course is great for students looking to refine their handbuilding practice and apply their existing clay knowledge in new ways. Instruction is tailored to meet you where you are and help you grow from there.
What’s included:
Unlimited clay and firing of 10 pieces
Tools and materials
Glazes
6 hours of open studio time per week for additional practice
Each student is provided with enough kiln space for up to 10 finished pieces throughout the session. If you’d like to make more, additional firing can be arranged for a reasonable fee.
Important Notes:
Must be 18 or older, or accompanied by an adult
Students are expected to attend the first class
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made 10 or more days before the start date are eligible for a full refund, minus a $30 processing fee.
No refunds or transfers can be made within 10 days of the start date, or after the course begins.
