Lets play with the rainbow, using clay!

In this class students will learn how to use 5 different mason stains to dye a whitestoneware clay body.
2 lbs of each color, and the rest of the 25lb bag of clay can be used for marbling. (students are welcome to bring their own mason stains if they would like to make more than what is provided.

Marbling using the slab roller

Marbling on the wheel and burnishing

Course includes: 25 lbs of white stoneware and  unlimited house clay to practice with, firing, tools, glazes, as well as 5 open studio hours a week to practice.

Each student is allocated enough kiln space to make up to 6 pieces throughout the course. Additional work made will be subject to a small firing fee.
