Clay Combo: Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding
8 Wednesdays at 6PM - Ages 18+

This course offers a balanced mix of wheel throwing and handbuilding, but you’re free to focus more on one or the other—choose your own path and apply the techniques however you'd like.

Perfect for those with a bit of clay experience, this class is designed to help you explore new clay bodies and techniques that can take your work in new directions.

Clay bodies we’ll be working with include:

  • Porcelain

  • Terra Cotta

  • White Stoneware

  • Black Clay

  • Mason-Stained Clay

Techniques covered:

  • Sodium Silicate

  • Marbling

  • Clay Staining

  • Slip Decoration

  • Mishima

Each student is allocated enough kiln space to finish up to 11 pieces over the 8-week session. If you create more than that, we’re happy to fire them for a small additional fee.

Instructor: Kelly

Important Notes:

  • Attendees must be 18 or older.

  • Students are expected to attend the first class, as it lays the foundation for the rest of the session.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made at least 10 days before the course begins are eligible for a full refund, minus a $30 processing fee. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds or transfers within 10 days of the start date or after the course has begun.

These policies help us fairly compensate our staff and cover operating costs—we appreciate your understanding.
